Celebrating Bill Merrick's 50th anniversary of employment at Gilman School, a surprise tribute ceremony was held on the morning of May 16, 2008. Guest speakers included Lower School Headmaster Leith Herrmann, Headmaster John Schmick, Debbie Shawen and Sue Dickey. Lower school students joined the celebration with a sing along of the "Friendship Song" to honor Bill.
